# Silent Touch Timer vs Fireflies

The clearest difference is price: Fireflies at Free against Silent Touch Timer's $0.99. Fireflies also leads on ratings volume (5.3K vs 37) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). Silent Touch Timer's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 55%). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Fireflies is free to download; Silent Touch Timer costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Fireflies holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fireflies has 5.3K ratings behind it against 37, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Silent Touch Timer's written reviews are positive against 55% of Fireflies's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
