# ACT Math vs Math Interactive

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Math Interactive at 58% against ACT Math's 0%. Math Interactive also leads on ratings volume (726 vs 6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). ACT Math's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ACT Math sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Math Interactive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ACT Math holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Interactive has 726 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of ACT Math's written reviews are positive against 58% of Math Interactive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ACT Math ships an update every 12 months, Math Interactive every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
