# DSE SmartLive vs IPTV Freedom

The clearest difference is rating: DSE SmartLive at 5.0 against IPTV Freedom's 4.3. DSE SmartLive also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). IPTV Freedom's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (11 vs 1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IPTV Freedom sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. DSE SmartLive asks for nothing beyond the download.

DSE SmartLive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IPTV Freedom has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
