# Sony LIV vs Jus Broadcasting

The clearest difference is rating: Jus Broadcasting at 5.0 against Sony LIV's 4.2. Jus Broadcasting also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15). Sony LIV's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (781 vs 4). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sony LIV sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per year and Jus Broadcasting sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jus Broadcasting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sony LIV has 781 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sony LIV ships an update every 6 days, Jus Broadcasting every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
