# 1 Second Everyday vs FaceLapse

The clearest difference is rating: 1 Second Everyday at 4.8 against FaceLapse's 3.4. 1 Second Everyday also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (48K vs 7). FaceLapse's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 55%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 1 Second Everyday sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and FaceLapse sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

1 Second Everyday holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 1 Second Everyday has 48K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of 1 Second Everyday's written reviews are positive against 89% of FaceLapse's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

1 Second Everyday ships an update every 5 days, FaceLapse every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
