# OverCam vs DU

The clearest difference is rating: DU at 4.5 against OverCam's 3.3. DU also leads on ratings volume (33 vs 7). OverCam's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OverCam sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and DU sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DU holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 33 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of OverCam's written reviews are positive against 71% of DU's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OverCam ships an update every 3 months, DU every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
