# Tabs & Notes vs ProTabs

The clearest difference is update cadence: ProTabs at every 5 days against Tabs & Notes's every 5 months. Tabs & Notes's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tabs & Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ProTabs sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tabs & Notes ships an update every 5 months, ProTabs every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
