# Provision vs iLot

The clearest difference is rating: iLot at 3.5 against Provision's 2.9. iLot also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (50% vs 21%). Provision's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (454 vs 13). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iLot holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Provision has 454 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Provision's written reviews are positive against 50% of iLot's.

Provision ships an update fortnightly, iLot every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
