# Provision vs NCC/ProMax

The clearest difference is rating: NCC/ProMax at 4.0 against Provision's 2.9. NCC/ProMax also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (50% vs 21%). Provision's advantage is ratings volume (454 vs 18). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

NCC/ProMax holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Provision has 454 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Provision's written reviews are positive against 50% of NCC/ProMax's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
