# Provision vs Netchex

The clearest difference is rating: Netchex at 4.5 against Provision's 2.9. Netchex also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and review sentiment (58% vs 21%). Provision's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 18 months) and ratings volume (454 vs 72). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Netchex holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Provision has 454 ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Provision's written reviews are positive against 58% of Netchex's.

Provision ships an update fortnightly, Netchex every 18 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
