# Provision vs Verstand

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Verstand at 100% against Provision's 21%. Verstand also leads on rating (5.0 vs 2.9) and monetization model (free vs subscription). Provision's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 22 months) and ratings volume (454 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Verstand holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Provision has 454 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 21% of Provision's written reviews are positive against 100% of Verstand's.

Provision ships an update fortnightly, Verstand every 22 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
