# Provision vs ChatMonster

The clearest difference is rating: ChatMonster at 5.0 against Provision's 2.9. ChatMonster also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and device support (3 vs 1). Provision's advantage is ratings volume (458 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ChatMonster holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Provision has 458 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Provision ships an update fortnightly, ChatMonster every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
