# Wi vs i

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Wi at 50% against i's 20%. Wi also leads on rating (3.0 vs 2.7) and update cadence (every 4 months vs every 14 months). i's advantage is ratings volume (35 vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wi holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: i has 35 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Wi's written reviews are positive against 20% of i's.

Wi ships an update every 4 months, i every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
