# Pace Ruler vs Ramp Assist

The clearest difference is rating: Ramp Assist at 3.7 against Pace Ruler's 2.6. Ramp Assist also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). Pace Ruler's advantage is review sentiment (39% vs 31%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pace Ruler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ramp Assist sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ramp Assist holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 13 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Pace Ruler's written reviews are positive against 31% of Ramp Assist's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pace Ruler ships an update every 6 months, Ramp Assist every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
