# Pace Ruler vs Hodgdon Reloading Manual

The clearest difference is rating: Hodgdon Reloading Manual at 4.3 against Pace Ruler's 2.6. Hodgdon Reloading Manual also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (834 vs 15). Pace Ruler's advantage is review sentiment (39% vs 10%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pace Ruler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Hodgdon Reloading Manual sells 12 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hodgdon Reloading Manual holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hodgdon Reloading Manual has 834 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Pace Ruler's written reviews are positive against 10% of Hodgdon Reloading Manual's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
