# Double vs UniFi Access

The clearest difference is rating: UniFi Access at 4.9 against Double's 4.1. UniFi Access also leads on ratings volume (4.6K vs 10) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Double's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

UniFi Access holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UniFi Access has 4.6K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Double's written reviews are positive against 60% of UniFi Access's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Double ships an update every 2 months, UniFi Access every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
