# DrumKick vs Musaic

The clearest difference is price: Musaic at Free against DrumKick's $3.99. Musaic also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 80%). DrumKick's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and rating (4.4 vs 4.0). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Musaic is free to download; DrumKick costs $3.99 up front. Musaic sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. DrumKick asks for nothing beyond the download.

DrumKick holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DrumKick has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of DrumKick's written reviews are positive against 100% of Musaic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
