# 中新网 vs ECNS

The clearest difference is rating: ECNS at 5.0 against 中新网's 4.1. ECNS also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). 中新网's advantage is update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ECNS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 中新网 has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

中新网 ships an update every 4 weeks, ECNS every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
