# EarthViewer vs TrueSize

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: EarthViewer at none against TrueSize's 1. EarthViewer also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (83% vs 72%). TrueSize's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TrueSize sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. EarthViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

TrueSize holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 107 and 317 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of EarthViewer's written reviews are positive against 72% of TrueSize's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EarthViewer ships an update every 2 months, TrueSize every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
