# Pitchero vs Edgbaston

The clearest difference is ads: Edgbaston at none against Pitchero's shown. Edgbaston also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Pitchero's advantage is review sentiment (43% vs 15%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for Pitchero against 4.5 for Edgbaston. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pitchero has 68 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 43% of Pitchero's written reviews are positive against 15% of Edgbaston's.

Pitchero ships an update weekly, Edgbaston every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
