# Basket Recorder Pro vs Rec

The clearest difference is update cadence: Basket Recorder Pro at every 3 days against Rec's every 6 weeks. Basket Recorder Pro also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). Rec's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basket Recorder Pro sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Rec sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Basket Recorder Pro ships an update every 3 days, Rec every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
