# Growtopia vs Lineage2M

The clearest difference is rating: Growtopia at 3.8 against Lineage2M's 3.0. Growtopia also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 916) and chart position (#88 vs unranked). Lineage2M's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Growtopia sells 23 one-off in-app purchases and Lineage2M sells 85 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Growtopia holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Growtopia has 11K ratings behind it against 916, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 32% of Growtopia's written reviews are positive against 21% of Lineage2M's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
