# NMEA Gps vs NavLink HD

The clearest difference is rating: NavLink HD at 4.2 against NMEA Gps's 3.4. NavLink HD also leads on ads (none vs shown). NMEA Gps's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 5 months). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NMEA Gps sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and NavLink HD sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $8.49 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NavLink HD holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of NMEA Gps's written reviews are positive against 0% of NavLink HD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NMEA Gps ships an update every 3 months, NavLink HD every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
