# Skill Levels vs ALCPT

The clearest difference is rating: Skill Levels at 4.7 against ALCPT's 3.5. ALCPT's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 0%) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, ratings volume, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skill Levels sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. ALCPT asks for nothing beyond the download.

Skill Levels holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 15 and 27 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Skill Levels's written reviews are positive against 36% of ALCPT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Skill Levels ships an update every 3 months, ALCPT every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
