# N'Back vs Brain Forest

The clearest difference is update cadence: Brain Forest at weekly against N'Back's every 9 months. Brain Forest also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. N'Back sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Brain Forest sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

N'Back ships an update every 9 months, Brain Forest weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
