# KegID vs 7punches

The clearest difference is rating: KegID at 3.6 against 7punches's 2.0. KegID also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). 7punches's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (10% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KegID holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 7punches has 56 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of KegID's written reviews are positive against 10% of 7punches's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KegID ships an update every 4 months, 7punches every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
