# IBM MaaS360 Browser vs Dolphin Browser

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: IBM MaaS360 Browser at none against Dolphin Browser's 10. Dolphin Browser's advantage is ratings volume (374 vs 47) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dolphin Browser sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. IBM MaaS360 Browser asks for nothing beyond the download.

IBM MaaS360 Browser holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 2.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dolphin Browser has 374 ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 7% of IBM MaaS360 Browser's written reviews are positive against 14% of Dolphin Browser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IBM MaaS360 Browser ships an update every 3 months, Dolphin Browser every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
