# FlashCards Malayalam Lesson vs Ling

The clearest difference is rating: Ling at 4.6 against FlashCards Malayalam Lesson's 3.4. Ling also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 5). FlashCards Malayalam Lesson's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 22) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ling sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. FlashCards Malayalam Lesson asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ling holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ling has 17K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of FlashCards Malayalam Lesson's written reviews are positive against 61% of Ling's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlashCards Malayalam Lesson ships an update every 5 months, Ling weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
