# Joist vs BLDR PRO

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BLDR PRO at none against Joist's 10. BLDR PRO also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). Joist's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 7) and rating (4.7 vs 4.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. BLDR PRO asks for nothing beyond the download.

Joist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Joist has 14K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.
