# Joist vs Danosa App

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Danosa App at none against Joist's 10. Danosa App also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). Joist's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Danosa App asks for nothing beyond the download.

Danosa App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Joist has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Joist ships an update every 2 weeks, Danosa App every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
