# Joist vs Inspectagram

The clearest difference is rating: Joist at 4.7 against Inspectagram's 4.0. Joist also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 4) and chart position (#15 vs unranked). Inspectagram's advantage is review sentiment (94% vs 61%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Inspectagram sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $119.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Joist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Joist has 14K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of Joist's written reviews are positive against 94% of Inspectagram's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
