# Joist vs TrimList Pro

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TrimList Pro at none against Joist's 10. TrimList Pro also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Joist's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2) and chart position (#14 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. TrimList Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

TrimList Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Joist has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Joist ships an update every 2 weeks, TrimList Pro every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
