# Joist vs LandScope

The clearest difference is rating: Joist at 4.7 against LandScope's 1.0. Joist also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 1) and chart position (#17 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and LandScope sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Joist holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Joist has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Joist ships an update every 2 weeks, LandScope fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
