# Joist vs WProof

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WProof at 100% against Joist's 62%. WProof also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Joist's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 3) and chart position (#15 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Joist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and WProof sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WProof holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Joist has 14K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Joist's written reviews are positive against 100% of WProof's.

Joist ships an update every 2 weeks, WProof monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
