# OptikamPad vs Meta AI

The clearest difference is rating: Meta AI at 4.7 against OptikamPad's 4.1. Meta AI also leads on ratings volume (288K vs 11) and update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). OptikamPad's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Meta AI holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Meta AI has 288K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

OptikamPad ships an update monthly, Meta AI every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
