# iCanvas Pro vs Artista

The clearest difference is update cadence: Artista at every 3 weeks against iCanvas Pro's every 165 months. Artista also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3). iCanvas Pro's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Artista holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 11 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of iCanvas Pro's written reviews are positive against 89% of Artista's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iCanvas Pro ships an update every 165 months, Artista every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
