# Power PDF vs Split PDF Files

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Power PDF at 65% against Split PDF Files's 23%. Power PDF also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1K vs 95). Split PDF Files's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Power PDF sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Split PDF Files sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Power PDF holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Power PDF has 1K ratings behind it against 95, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Power PDF's written reviews are positive against 23% of Split PDF Files's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
