# DataMan vs Data Manager

The clearest difference is review sentiment: DataMan at 81% against Data Manager's 35%. DataMan also leads on rating (4.4 vs 2.7) and ratings volume (682 vs 9). Data Manager's advantage is price (Free vs $0.99) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Data Manager is free to download; DataMan costs $0.99 up front. DataMan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Data Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DataMan holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DataMan has 682 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. DataMan ships an update every 3 months, Data Manager every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
