# PopCandy ® vs Pop Cat

The clearest difference is rating: PopCandy ® at 4.6 against Pop Cat's 2.5. PopCandy ® also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 19 months) and ratings volume (478 vs 2). Pop Cat's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PopCandy ® sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Pop Cat sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PopCandy ® holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PopCandy ® has 478 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of PopCandy ®'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Pop Cat's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PopCandy ® ships an update every 2 weeks, Pop Cat every 19 months. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
