# MoDic vs MemoWord

The clearest difference is ratings volume: MemoWord at 284 against MoDic's 3. MemoWord also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). MoDic's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (7.1 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MoDic sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and MemoWord sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MoDic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MemoWord has 284 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of MoDic's written reviews are positive against 86% of MemoWord's.

MoDic ships an update every 2 months, MemoWord every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
