# Geocaching Tools Kit vs Wherigo®

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Geocaching Tools Kit at 100% against Wherigo®'s 42%. Geocaching Tools Kit also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). Wherigo®'s advantage is price (Free vs $1.99) and rating (4.5 vs 4.0). On ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Wherigo® is free to download; Geocaching Tools Kit costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wherigo® holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wherigo® has 989 ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Geocaching Tools Kit's written reviews are positive against 42% of Wherigo®'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
