# PagerDuty vs Ampcontrol

The clearest difference is ratings volume: PagerDuty at 5.2K against Ampcontrol's 1. Ampcontrol's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ampcontrol holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PagerDuty has 5.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
