# HomeWAV vs Tempo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tempo at 100% against HomeWAV's 8%. Tempo also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.8) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). HomeWAV's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 33) and chart position (#163 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tempo holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HomeWAV has 11K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 8% of HomeWAV's written reviews are positive against 100% of Tempo's.

HomeWAV ships an update every 5 weeks, Tempo every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
