# PureVPN vs PocketNote

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PocketNote at 100% against PureVPN's 49%. PocketNote also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). PureVPN's advantage is ratings volume (7.9K vs 15) and chart position (#136 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PureVPN sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $8.39 per month and PocketNote sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PocketNote holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureVPN has 7.9K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 49% of PureVPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of PocketNote's.

PureVPN ships an update every 2 weeks, PocketNote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
