# Asteroid Impact vs Submarine

The clearest difference is update cadence: Submarine at every 3 weeks against Asteroid Impact's every 15 months. Submarine also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Asteroid Impact sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Submarine sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Asteroid Impact ships an update every 15 months, Submarine every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
