# WorkTime vs Payroll Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: Payroll Calendar at 5.0 against WorkTime's 3.5. Payroll Calendar also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). WorkTime's advantage is ratings volume (104 vs 8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkTime sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Payroll Calendar sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Payroll Calendar holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WorkTime has 104 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WorkTime ships an update every 3 weeks, Payroll Calendar weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
