# Tab vs Wicket Edge

The clearest difference is rating: Wicket Edge at 5.0 against Tab's 4.2. Tab's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Wicket Edge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tab has 1.2K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tab ships an update every 3 weeks, Wicket Edge fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
