# Tab vs Opalite

The clearest difference is rating: Opalite at 5.0 against Tab's 4.2. Opalite also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Tab's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 6) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Opalite holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tab has 1.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tab ships an update every 3 weeks, Opalite every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
