# Tab vs SnapTip

The clearest difference is rating: SnapTip at 5.0 against Tab's 4.2. SnapTip also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 66%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). Tab's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SnapTip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tab has 1.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 66% of Tab's written reviews are positive against 100% of SnapTip's.

Tab ships an update every 3 weeks, SnapTip every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
