# Tab vs VulcanOps

The clearest difference is rating: VulcanOps at 5.0 against Tab's 4.2. VulcanOps also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). Tab's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VulcanOps holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tab has 1.1K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tab ships an update every 3 weeks, VulcanOps every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
